• Maoxuewang

Maoxuewang is one of the most famous Chongqing snacks. Duck’ blood has the function of replenishing blood, preventing and relieving symptom of iron deficiency anemia.

It is a real feast of tender and white bean curd, minced beef or pork, hot pepper, tasty bean sauce and green spring onion. It is believed that the dish was created by a pockmarked but ingenious woman, whose name was Ma Po.

• Hongyadong Food Street

As one of the most famous food street in Chongqing, Hongyadong Food Street is a place can’t be missed for foodies touring Chongqing. Snack in this street is not only delicious, but also cheap. You even can find any famous and classic Chongqing snacks here. The surrounding of this street is wonderful; you can enjoy beautiful scenery while eating snacks.

• Haochi Jie Food Street One of the famous food streets in Chongqing named Haochi Jie. In this 205-meter-long street, there are various restaurants with their special and unique food to attract guests. From the dessert shop to the dandanmian (a kind of noodles) restaurant, from the wonton shop to the hot pot restaurant, from the Chinese cuisine restaurants to MacDonald, it is a paradise for people who are fond of food.  

There are two groups of sculptures at the two ends of the Food Street respectively. One is called “cool” - a barebacked dock porter, covered with sweat, is waving a cattail leaf fan in his hand while eating hot pot. The other one is called “vigor”, describing three fashionable and pretty girls to reflect the enterprising spirit of Chongqing people.
